a week of getting to know the program after effects, was followed by a short project. within a few days, i created a character, which worked well for animating, but still had its charm and interests. i made many designs until i figured out, which were the important features. i was working with bold shapes in monochrome colours, so the animation wouldn’t cause disturbance. i also researched game characters with few details and analysed, which features made them unique. after many drafts, i created the «basket rat king» and gave him a little animation. since there were many small things to animate, the program got crowded quickly, but it was very interesting to see the rhythm of the animation.
